Professor Dr. has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University (DU). Niaz Ahmed Khan. He was appointed as the 30th Vice-Chancellor of DU.
Monday (August 26) Chancellor and President of the University. Shahabuddin appointed him.
Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan is a Professor in the Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka and Vice-Chancellor, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).
Professor Niaz has studied and researched at University of Oxford, University of Wales Swansea, Asian Institute of Technology and has been contributing to the development of academic and operational development management in Bangladesh, Thailand and UK for a long time.
Before this, Professor Dr. was appointed as the 29th Vice-Chancellor of the University on October 15, 2023. ASM Maqsood Kamal. Later he resigned after failing to provide security to the students on the campus during the quota reform movement.
