Tom Brady Believes Knicks Could Reach NBA Finals Soon

The New York Knicks will enter the 2024-25 season looking to establish their claim in the Eastern Conference. New York finished last season as the No. 2 seed in the East but fell short of their goal of winning a championship.

The Knicks suffered many injuries throughout the year, and it became too much to overcome once the postseason came around. They were bounced in the semi-finals against the Indiana Pacers in seven games.

New York didn’t rest on its laurels and proceeded to try to maximize this winning window. They acquired star forward Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets, giving them extra depth and scoring on the roster.

The team also re-signed OG Anunoby to a massive contract extension to keep the defensive wing with the team. With these moves, New York feels good about themselves heading into the season. But apparently, so does someone else who knows a thing or two about winning.

While appearing on The Roommates Show with Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, NFL legend Tom Brady had some interesting thoughts about the Knicks.

“To win the Super Bowl is just a whole other thing, it’s probably like getting to the Finals. It’s hard to get there and once you get there, now you gotta really compete.”

Both Brunson and Hart acknowledged that the Knicks hadn’t reached those heights just yet. Brady went on to praise them, saying he believes they will make the NBA Finals.

“I have a feeling you’re gonna get there”

If the Knicks were to reach the NBA Finals, it would be quite the story. They certainly have the team to make it happen with Brunson leading the charge as the star.

It could be a tough challenge for the Knicks in the East this season as they will need to outlast multiple strong teams. The reigning NBA champion Boston Celtics will be looking to repeat, while others such as the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Cleveland Cavaliers will likely have a say in things.

New York should be one of the deeper teams in the NBA, potentially trying to negate any injuries that could occur this season. The Knicks organization understands that they may not have a better chance to win than now so they will do whatever it takes to see that a title is brought back to Madison Square Garden in the near future.
