96 Ansars lost their jobs when they came to besiege the secretariat

96 members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force Comilla range have been recommended to be expelled for allegedly leaving the camp and besieging the secretariat in the capital Dhaka for illegal assembly. Comilla Range Commandant Rasheduzzaman confirmed the matter on Monday (August 26) night.

Rasheduzzaman said, the agitating Ansar members had conveyed their demands to us. We have forwarded those claims to the authorities. Still, many people besieged the secretariat in Dhaka with enthusiasm. We see them as rebels.

He said, the rebels have been recommended for expulsion. Apart from this, legal action will be taken against them. A total of 96 people have been recommended for eviction from the Comilla range so far. Among them there are 22 Ansars who are in charge of Comilla University.

Commandant Rasheduzzaman also said that Ansar is a disciplined force. We do security work. Without doing that, the slogans of the Ansar on the streets do not suit. Those who went to besiege the secretariat are contract recruits. Not the original Ansar. Our investigation is ongoing. The number may increase from 96 people. Because many were on vacation. Ansars on leave can also go. We are trying to ensure that no one is harmed. So our investigation is still ongoing.
