After 5 days train movement started on Dhaka-Chittagong route

After being closed for five days, train services have started with Dhaka-Chittagong. Trains started running from noon on Tuesday. It is known that trains will run on this route with one line for now.

Earlier, yesterday Monday (August 26) the flood-damaged railway line was visited by Railway Director General Sardar Shahadat Ali and Eastern Region General Manager Nazmul Islam and other officials. Then came the decision to run the train.

Railway departmental transport officials told reporters that there are two lines on the Dhaka-Chittagong-Dhaka railway. One line (Chittagong-Dhaka) was more damaged due to current. The other (Dhaka-Chittagong) is relatively less. It has been renovated and made suitable for trains.
