Bangladesh Police Additional IGP Krishnapad Roy and DIG Mozzammel Haque have been sent on compulsory retirement.
On Tuesday (August 27), they were retired in two separate notifications by the Home Ministry. The notifications are directed to be implemented immediately.
Krishna Pad Rai was serving at Police Headquarters and Mozammel Haque as Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police.
The notification states that they have been retired from government service in the public interest as per the provisions of Section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018). But they will get retirement allowance and other benefits as per rules.
