Human chain of local residents demanding justice for the killers of Billal Mia

In Jahangir Nagar Union of Sunamganj's Sadar Upazila, the local residents formed a human chain demanding the execution of the killers of farmer Billal Mia. The human chain was organized by Kaiagao villagers on Tuesday (August 27) afternoon.

Local residents said that the deceased Billal Miah and his son were on their way to a function in Mangalkata last Saturday and the accused Rubel Miah, Noor Alam, Biraj Miah and Alamgir had a discussion with the accused Rubel Miah, Noor Alam, Biraj Miah and Alamgir inside Kaiagao village. On that night, Helal Mia, the son of the deceased Billal Mia, stopped him on the way to the market and started beating him.

When Billal Mia ran to the market after getting the news, the accused Rubel Mia hit Billal Mia with a knife in his hand. At that time, Billal Mia fell on the ground. When he was taken to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital in a bloody state, the doctor on duty declared Billal Mia dead. Four people, including the son and nephew of the deceased Billal Mia, were seriously injured. Locals demanded appropriate justice for those who committed this brutal murder.

At this time, Kaigao village social workers Ismail Hossain, Bayezid Bostami, Monir Hossain, Manik member, Siddique Mia Azgar Ali, Jalil Mia and others spoke in the human chain.

In this incident, Jalil Mia, the elder brother of the victim, has filed a case with Sunamganj Sadar Police Station mentioning the names of 4 people as the plaintiff.

Abdul Ahad, OC of Sunamganj Sadar police station, said that a case has been filed in the police station. The case is under investigation.
