A case does not mean that I am a criminal, Rakibul about Shakib

Shakib Al Hasan has been in the discussion for a few days regarding the accused in the murder case. For the same reason, there was some apprehension about Shakib's future in the national team. However, the new president of BCB said that there is no obstacle in his game for now. In such a situation, former Bangladesh captain Rakibul Hasan stood by Shakib.

On Wednesday (August 28) in Mirpur, on the Shakib issue, Rockibul said, 'Of course I will stand by Shakib as a cricketer. That's why I will stay, there may be a case (against him). Being prosecuted does not matter that I am a criminal. The Cricket Board stands by him. I salute the new committee, they said they will also provide legal assistance if needed.'

Legal advisor Asif Nazrul said about Shakib's arrest on the same day, 'It is a matter of police administration, we have asked to say as much. Case or FIR does not mean arrest. I believe initiatives will be taken from the Ministry of Home Affairs so that no one gets too excited and gets arrested.'

Apart from this, yesterday BCB President Farooq said about Shakib's continuation of the game, 'There has been an FIR in Shakib's case. We have responded to the legal notice from the board, as he is a contractual cricketer. We will support him legally from the board. He has no problem playing during this period.'
