Extortion using our name

Hasnat Abdullah, coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, said that extortion is being done in many places using our name. The case is being given by forging signatures. We have no affiliation with them.

Anti-discrimination student movement coordinators Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah went to the office of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) at Segunbagicha in the capital on Thursday (August 29). They went there and met the ACC chairman. Later they spoke to reporters.

Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah said, we are getting reports that our name is being used to take advantage in illegal ways. They have no legal authority to grant benefits to anyone or to take benefits themselves.

Commenting that the ACC will follow their laws, he said that the ACC has come to clarify this matter so that no one can take any advantage by using their name (anti-discrimination student movement).

Coordinator Sarjis Alam said, we have told the ACC that for the last 16 years, this fascist government has harassed those who did not like them with false cases. Some have problems with their families, false cases have been filed, some have had problems with land deposits, false cases have been filed. And so that it does not happen, that is what I have said. And so that no political party can harass anyone with a false case, I have said that.

Meanwhile, in front of the ACC office in the afternoon, some people formed a human chain demanding the resignation of the chairman of the organization, Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah.
