Businessmen say that the Sheikh Hasina government could not control the market of daily commodities. Businessmen have syndicated under various pretexts. In the market, brinjal, barbati, kankrol, bitter gourd and kachurmukhi are being sold at Tk 60-80 per kg. Which was sold earlier at Tk 100 per kg. Apart from this, patol, papaya, and saffron are being sold at Tk 30 to Tk 50 per kg. Although a month ago no vegetables were available below Rs.60. The price of potatoes has also decreased. Potatoes priced at Tk 60 per kg are now available at Tk 55. Apart from this, the price of raw chili was above Tk 200, now the product has come down to Tk 160.
The price of farm chicken brown eggs in the market has increased by Rs 5 per dozen. A dozen eggs are being sold at Tk 155-160.
The price of broiler chicken in the market has increased by Rs. 10 per kg compared to the previous week. Broiler chicken price was Rs 160-170 per kg last week; Which was sold yesterday at the rate of 170-180 taka. And golden chicken price is stable at Tk 240-250.
