9 Request not to accept pay-orders, cheques, bank guarantees from banks

Chittagong Port Authority has requested to refrain from accepting all types of pay orders, checks, bank guarantees issued by 9 banks.

This request was made in a letter signed by Chief Finance and Accounting Officer of Chittagong Port Authority Mohammad Abdus Shakur on Thursday (August 29).

It has been mentioned in the letter that until further instructions on the appropriate matter, it is requested to refrain from accepting all types of pay orders, checks, bank guarantees issued by the following banks in all activities.

The 9 banks are:

1) Global Islamic Bank Policy

2) Union Bank Policy

3) Bangladesh Commerce Bank Policy

4) Islami Bank Bangladesh Policy

5) First Security Islami Bank Policy

6) Social Islami Bank Policy

7) Padma Bank Policy

8) National Bank Policy

9) ICB Islami Bank Policy

It is also mentioned that it has the approval of the appropriate authorities.
