Microbus-covered van collision in Narsingdi, four killed including bride

Four persons, including a child and a woman, were killed in a head-on collision between a microbus and a covered van in Narsingdi. At this time, four people were seriously injured. The accident took place in front of the regional passport office in Dagaria area of ​​Narsingdi on Saturday (August 31) at 9:30 pm.

The deceased are Tanzina Zereen (24), wife of Emran Mia, wife of Anwar Hossain, Kamrun Nahar (35), her son Sajid (12) and Saddam Hossain's daughter Chabiha (14) of Abdullahpur village of Charsubuddhi union of Raipura police station.

The injured are Emran (24) son of Ataur Rahman of the same village, Anwar Hossain (45) son of Zakir Hossain, Mitu (17) daughter of Mujibur Rahman and Lipi Begum (28), wife of Saddam Mia.

According to the relatives of the injured and the dead, the newly married Imran Ahmed went to visit his wife Tanzina's sister's house in Mirpur with his family. After the trip, they were returning to their home in Raipura, Narsingdi by microbus. On the way, when the microbus reached in front of the regional passport office in Dagaria area of ​​Narsingdi on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, it collided head-on with a covered van from Itakhola to Dhaka. Meanwhile, the microbus was completely twisted. Kamrun Nahar, Tanjina, Chabiha and Sajid were killed on the spot. After receiving the information, a team of fire service rescued the bodies and seriously injured and took them to Narsingdi District Hospital.

Station Officer of Narsingdi Fire Service. Raihan said that the driver Anwar was rescued when he was trapped in the microbus after going to the spot after receiving the news. Later, the injured including him were sent to the hospital.

Doctor Rakib Ashkari, emergency department doctor of Narsingdi district hospital, said that when the eight people injured in the road accident were brought to the hospital, four of them were found dead. The rest were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment after primary treatment.
