Outdoor-indoor services are starting from Tuesday in hospitals

The agitating doctors of Dhaka Medical have announced to start outdoor services and limited indoor services from tomorrow Tuesday (September 3). They also said that the emergency department will continue to operate as before.

The agitating doctors said this at a press conference organized next to the administrative building of DMK on Monday (September 2) at 4 pm. Hospital registrar and neurosurgery department doctor Dr. Abdul Ahad gave a speech on the occasion. He said that private services will continue for the benefit of patients.

The agitators said, the outdoor will be open from 8 am to 1 pm. In addition, they will hold a sit-in program from 8 am to 10 am.

Dr. Ahad said, the advisor spoke to us yesterday (Sunday). In the meantime, one person involved in the attack on DMK and four terrorists who attacked Suhrawardy Medical Center have been arrested.

He also said that security has been strengthened at DMK, Mugda and Suhrawardy Medical. As promised, emergency security forces have been deployed in hospitals in the capital. I thank the government for this. The former fascist regime and traitors are trying to destabilize it. If security is not strengthened in other hospitals, such situation will increase.

Stating that steps should be taken to ensure the safety of the patients, he said that security forces should be provided to the government hospitals of the district and upazila as soon as possible to protect the doctors and patients.

Dr. presented two demands. Ahad said that the culprits should be arrested and brought under the law and their punishment should be ensured and the health police should be established by making laws to ensure the safety of hospitals.

Brigadier General Nazmul Haque, director of DMK Hospital, said that all the closed services of Dhaka Medical will be started by tomorrow.

He said that two main demands of the agitators have been fulfilled. Now there is no justification for stopping the hospital services.
