An Indian Air Force MiG-29 fighter jet has crashed. The fighter jet crashed in Rajasthan during a training mission on Monday night. However, there were no casualties. The pilot was able to get out safely before the plane crashed, the country's police said.

On Tuesday (September 3), the Indian media NDTV reported this information.

According to the Indian Air Force, the crashed fighter jet suffered a 'serious technical problem' while taking off.

In a post on social media platform X, the Indian Air Force said, 'During a routine night training mission in the Baram sector, an IAF MiG-29 aircraft encountered critical technical issues and the pilot was forced to eject. The pilot is safe and no casualties have been reported. A court of inquiry has been ordered in this incident.

Indian officials said the plane crashed in a residential area around 10pm on Monday. The fighter jet caught fire after the crash.

Baram Collector Nishant Jain, Superintendent of Police Narendra Meena and other senior officials visited the accident spot. Firefighters are unable to reach the accident site due to rainwater.
