BNP has called a press conference at noon regarding the ongoing situation

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has called a press conference on behalf of the National Standing Committee, the highest policy-making forum, regarding the ongoing situation. The press conference will be held at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan on Tuesday (September 3) at 12 noon.

Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP's media cell, gave this information on Monday (September 2).

Tuesday's press conference was called by the National Standing Committee, the highest policy-making forum of BNP. Member Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmad Bir Bikram will speak there.

Meanwhile, to ensure free and fair elections in the country, BNP will once again bring back the caretaker government system in the constitution, said acting chairman of the party, Tariq Rahman.

He said that the ownership of Bangladesh belongs to the people of this country and the election of public representatives through the exercise of voting rights is their fair democratic right. To ensure free and fair elections in the country, in 1996, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP incorporated a caretaker government system into the constitution instead of a party government to ensure people's right to vote. But to ax the power, the dictatorial Hasina government deleted it from the constitution and deprived the people of voting rights in three national elections. We want to re-incorporate the caretaker government system into the Constitution to restore the people's right to vote.
