Diamond World MD Dilip Agarwala arrested

Diamond World Managing Director Dilip Kumar Agarwala was arrested by RAB from Gulshan in the capital.

This was confirmed in a message from RAB's legal and media wing on Tuesday (September 3) midnight.

In this context, RAB Headquarters Legal and Media Wing Director Lieutenant Colonel Munim Ferdous said that Dilip Kumar Agarwala has been arrested in the murder case.

Recently, Badda police station in the capital. Shahadat Hossain Khan filed a murder case in the name of Dilip Kumar as the plaintiff. The case was filed on August 23. Dilip Kumar has been charged with murder and aiding and abetting in the case. He is accused no. 20 of this case.

CID Superintendent of Police Azad Rahman said that Diamond World Managing Director Dilip Kumar Agarwala has been accused of money laundering, cheating and fraud in the name of importing gold and diamonds through smuggling from abroad.

He fraudulently sold high quality glass pieces as genuine diamonds instead of genuine diamonds through nominal showrooms in various districts. Apart from this, he is said to have controlled gold smuggling syndicates in Dubai and Singapore, three jewelery shops and 11 houses in Kolkata, India and acquired and smuggled huge amounts of illegal wealth in Malaysia, Dubai and Canada.

He has also been accused of illegally becoming the director of a bank by investing 40 crore rupees through various frauds.
