3 more people died of dengue, 358 in hospital

In the last 24 hours, three more people have died of dengue and 358 people have been hospitalized across the country. This information was informed in a notification about dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Thursday (September 5).

According to the notification, 36 people were affected in Barisal Division (outside City Corporation), 69 people in Chittagong Division (outside City Corporation), 42 people in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 57 people in Dhaka North City Corporation, 108 people in Dhaka South City Corporation, There are 35 people in Khulna division (outside city corporation), seven people in Mymonsinghs division (outside city corporation), four people in Rajshahi division (outside city corporation).

In 24 hours, 325 dengue patients were discharged from the hospital across the country, a total of 13 thousand 186 patients were discharged this year.

A total of 14,686 people have been affected by dengue until September 5 this year. Among them, 61.3 percent are men and 38.7 percent are women. And a total of 91 people have died of dengue so far this year.

From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died due to dengue, and 3,21,179 people were hospitalized due to dengue.
