Tom Brady’s Broadcast Debut Game Officially Revealed

Sunday, Sept. 8, will mark the first game for many NFL teams for the 2024 season. It’s the start of a new, highly anticipated season that promises not to disappoint.

As we enter this new season, the storylines are through the roof, but none may be bigger than the NFL broadcasting debut of NFL legend and future Hall of Famer Tom Brady.

Many rookie young players will be making their NFL debuts on Sunday, but so will Brady as a broadcaster. The seven-time Super Bowl champion is set to take the Week 1 clash between the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns on Sunday on FOX.

Brady is set to begin his “rookie year” after signing a massive 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX Sports, replacing Greg Olsen, another ex-NFL star turned commentator. The opportunity to get a person like Brady to call games doesn’t happen often, and FOX jumped at the chance when it came.

Brady is known for his fiery competitiveness. While many question why he is taking this next step in his life, look no further than the latest commercial on FOX that tells you everything you need to know.

The 47-year-old has done it all in his career, but he’s never done learning. Brady wants to grow and expand his mind, and that is how he is approaching this new journey.

“How do I understand the mechanics of broadcasting and network television?” Brady said. “As I’ve kind of worked my way through that process, it has come back to just be myself. To clearly see what I see on the field. And then what people hopefully will see is my love of the game.”

Brady loves football and wants to teach fans when he calls some of the year’s biggest games. As we all know, it took a while for Brady to finally retire from the game of football.

He announced his retirement following the 2021-22 season, but that was shortlived as he returned for the 2022 season until finally retiring, for real this time, following an NFC Wild Card playoff defeat to the Cowboys at home, 31-14, on Jan. 16, 2023.

In his final game, he attempted 66 passes, the most in his playoff career, completing 35 for 351 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.

Brady will now embark on this new journey in his life. Many believe that he won’t do well and that his broadcasting career will be a complete failure; however, with how he prepares and his approach to the game, that will be nearly impossible.
