5 killed in microbus-autorickshaw collision

5 people were killed in a head-on collision between a microbus and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Sirajganj's Kamarkhand. 2 more people were injured in this incident. All the deceased were passengers of the autorickshaw. The accident took place at Bhadraghat on the Sirajganj-Nalka regional road at around 12 noon on Sunday (September 8).

The deceased are Rashedul Islam (22), son of Amjad Hossain of Brakshanbaria village of Raiganj upazila, Nuruzzaman Ali (52), son of Ramzan Ali of Bhatra village of Tarash upazila, his elder brother Tarek Rahman (55), Abdul Majid (50), son of deceased Noor Baksh of the same village. ) and his elder brother Rezaul Karim (60).

Confirming the matter, Kamarkhand police station officer-in-charge Rezaul Karim said that a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw traveling from Sirajganj to Nalkagami collided head-on with a microbus coming in front of the Bhadraghat ACI mill of Kamarkhand upazila on the Sirajganj-Nalka regional road.

Three passengers of the autorickshaw died on the spot in the collision. Three people, including the autorickshaw driver, were rescued and sent to Shahid M Mansoor Ali Medical College Hospital, where two others died.
