Demonstration marches in Rabi against border killings and Indian aggression

Rajshahi University (Rabi) students held a protest march and rally against the continuous killing of Bangladeshi citizen Jayant Kumar at Baliadangi border in Thakurgaon. On Monday (September 9) at 7:30 p.m., they held a protest rally in front of the university's martyr intellectual memorial plaque.

At that time, the students chanted, 'Jalalo re jaalo, agun jaalo', 'Indian aggression, break it down', action action, direct action', against Modi, direct action', direct action against Delhi', 'Felani to Jayant, killing of Modi'. ' etc. chanted. The procession started from Amtala square of Paribahan market of the university and circled the important roads of the campus and ended in front of the Martyred intellectuals memorial plaque.

In the rally after the march, the students strongly demanded to file a case with the current interim government and international court to stop the continuous killings at the border, opening of dams from time to time causing floods in the country and India's aggression towards Bangladesh.

Amanullah Khan, a student of the 2017-18 academic year of the Population Science and Human Resource Development Department, said at the protest rally, “From Felani to the border, all the killings that have taken place should be tried fairly. We don't want to see another dead body on the border. Citizens of Bangladesh will live with a dignity. We want to tell this interim government that the students have placed you in this place to establish the citizenship and sovereignty of the people of the country. As a result, Big Brother or India is a great country, so that the blood of our martyrs should not be dishonored.'

Rakib Hossain, a student of the 2017-18 academic year of the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering said, 'We have chased away the murderer Hasina. He is now staying with Khuni Modi. The murderer Hasina must be returned to the people of the country. In Bangladesh we have seen Felani murder. How a citizen of a country is killed and hanged. We see how India is killing one after another. A few days ago we saw the killing of Swarna Das. Today they killed Jayant and two more people. We the people, removed Hasina. I put Yunus. This government must demand accountability for this Indian aggression.'

Fuad Ratul, a student of the 2020-21 academic year of Social Work Department, said, 'Swarna Das and Jayant are both minors, they are not terrorists, so why were they shot. No civilized country in the world can order the direct shooting of unarmed, innocent people. Which India has been doing for a long time. It is a violation of human rights. We want to ask the Chief Adviser from this gathering to take action against this oppressive country as soon as possible. And to ensure proper justice for India's oppression by filing a case in the International Court.'
