Chris Kitchin Appointed As Regional Director

Field and Lawn are delighted to announce the promotion of Chris Kitchin to the role of Regional Director for the Runcorn branch. Chris steps into this leadership role as Andrew Lothian prepares for his well-deserved retirement at the end of February 2025.

This pivotal appointment follows an extensive and rigorous selection process involving interviews and competency-based assessments of candidates from across the events industry. 

Chris stood out for his exceptional vision, strategic business plan and demonstrated ability to drive growth and innovation within the branch.

Chris joined Field and Lawn in 2022 as a Senior Project Manager, bringing with him eight years of experience in the events industry. He has project managed numerous high-profile events, including mass participation races and international sporting tournaments. Notably, he played a key role in delivering projects for clients such as UEFA and the FA during the Women’s European Football Championships. His proven expertise makes him well-equipped to lead the Runcorn branch into its next chapter of success.

Andrew Lothian, who joined Field and Lawn as a rigger in Scotland in 1990, has had an extraordinary career, progressing through the ranks. His deep operational knowledge and leadership have been instrumental in shaping the business, overseeing the growth of both the Northern and Southern branches, delivering complex projects with precision and expertise.

Reflecting on his journey, Andrew’s colleagues recall his hands-on approach, his sense of humour, and his commitment to the company. As he transitions into retirement, Andrew looks forward to enjoying more time in Spain, soaking up the sun, probably with a cerveza in hand!
