Detective Police (DB) has arrested Saddam Hossain, general secretary of the Kurigram district branch of the banned organization. He was arrested from Rangpur city on Wednesday evening.
Kurigram Detective Police (DB) Inspector Bajla Rahman confirmed the information. He said Saddam was arrested from Rangpur and brought to Kurigram. There have been several cases against him in the anti -discrimination student movement in Kurigram, including the Ashiq murder case. He will be handed over to court on Thursday.
Responding to another question, the DB inspector said that Saddam would be remanded on remand and asked for interrogation.
