Four people, including Jamaat leaders, have arrested four people, including Jamaat leaders, for allegedly locking in four shops in Ahmedpur Bazar in Baraigram upazila of Natore. They were arrested on Monday evening.

The arrested persons are Jamaat president of Ward 4 and Ruhul Amin (1), a resident of Ahmedpur area, his brother Jamaat activist Azimuddin (3), local BNP activist Haider Ali (1) and his father Mujibur Rahman (1).
According to sources in Barayagram Police Station, Korban Ali, Shah Alam and Motaleb Hossain Ahmed of Naopara village of the upazila bought the land at Ahmedpur Bazar and built five shops. They have SA and RS Khatiyan in their name. They have been in the land for almost 3 years and have been paying regular rent. At around 4am yesterday, Ruhul Amin, Azimuddin, Haider Ali, Mujibur Rahman, took 4-5 sticks to the market and threatened the sacrifice to donate Tk 5,000 per month. The accused were locked in five shops as they did not agree. If the shop is not left, the traders are also threatened to kill.
When the victims complained to the local army camp and Barayagram police station, police and army personnel jointly raided the market in the evening. At that time, the locks of the shops were broken and the actual owners were handed over and the four accused were arrested and taken to the police station.
The victim Motaleb Hossain said, “Abdul Malek, president of Jamaat -e -Islami of Jorai union of the upazila, raised a monthly sum of Tk 5,000 for the shop. We did not agree. Because, we have been occupying these shops for 3 years. Enraged by this, they locked our shops. When we informed the police and senior members that the incident, they raided and recovered our shops in a short time. We are grateful to them. '
However, before the arrest, Jamaat leader Ruhul Amin denied the allegations of contribution. For a long time that land was lost. Now we are occupied. Claimed the rent. So there have been allegations of contribution claims. ' However, he acknowledged that the lock was not locked in the store.
Officer -in -Charge of Barayagram Police Station Golam Sarwar Hossain said the extortion case has been filed. The four accused in the case were arrested and handed over to the police station. They were arrested and sent to court.
