Huzaifa Afnan, a child injured by bullets from Myanmar, has been admitted to Chittagong Medical. The ambulance carrying him arrived at the hospital at 4:30 pm on Sunday (January 11), said SI Alauddin Talukdar of Medical Police Outpost.

He told the media that the child was taken to the hospital's ICU at 5:30 pm.

Huzaifa Afnan was shot dead in Techchabrij area of ​​Hoikang Union of Teknaf Upazila of Cox's Bazar around 10 am. The 9-year-old child is the son of Jasim Uddin of Lombabil village. She is a 3rd class student of Lombabil Haji Mohammad Hossain Government Primary School.

Initially, the police said that the child who was shot died, but later the acting chairman of Huaikang Union. Shahjalal said in the afternoon, the information is not correct.

When asked, Cox's Bazar Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Alok Biswas told the media around 2 pm that the child was shot. At first it is said to be dead but it is not correct. He is being taken to medical in Chittagong.

Meanwhile, the angry crowd protested by blocking the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf road over the shooting of Huzaifa Afnan. Additional members of the army and other law enforcement agencies were deployed at the scene.

Khokon Kanti Rudra, in-charge of Hoikang police outpost, said that the law and order forces are active to keep the overall situation normal.

Across the Hoikung border in Teknaf, massive clashes are taking place between the Arakan Army and Arsa in Myanmar's Rakhine state. For the past three days, widespread shelling across the border has created panic across the border.
