Fake DB caught by real DB

Detective Police (DB) arrested six people during an attempted robbery on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway.

They were arrested in front of Padma Setu North Toll Plaza around 1 pm on Friday (January 24). At that time, four DB clothes, a pair of handcuffs, a walkie-talkie set and an electric shock machine, a laser light and their high-speed car were seized.

On Saturday (January 24) evening, the police took the 6 people to the court and applied for a 5-day remand. The court ordered them to be sent to jail.

They are – dismissed policeman. Kajal Islam Ziku and Md. Rubel Rana, dismissed army member. Mostafizur Rahman Raju and Md. Bashir Howlader, Md. Hira Bepari and Md. Faisal Rabbi.

Saturday (January 24) around 2:30 PM Munshiganj Superintendent of Police Md. Menhajul Alam said that they were arrested while standing suspiciously in front of Padma Bridge North Toll Plaza around 1 pm on Friday. Preliminary investigation revealed that they were planning a robbery by stopping passengers and vehicles in the identity of DB police.

The Superintendent of Police also said that legal action is being taken against the arrested persons. An investigation is being conducted to determine if anyone else is involved with them.

In this incident, there is a new concern about the security of Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, but the concerned people think that the police have saved them from major crimes.
