The President and the Prime Minister offered Eid prayers at the National Eidgah

The main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr was held at the National Eidgah. The President offered Eid prayers there. Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Tariq Rahman.

The main congregation started at 8:30 am on Saturday (March 21). In addition to the President, Prime Minister, Supreme Court Justices, Cabinet members, Members of Parliament, politicians, people from all walks of life participated in the main Eid congregation.

After the prayers, the Prime Minister will exchange Eid greetings with people from different classes and professions at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna in the capital at 10 am.

The worshipers started gathering from different parts of the capital since morning to participate in the Eid congregation. People come wearing Punjabi pajamas, wearing hats and wearing different kinds of perfumes. Children and teenagers come with their parents.

The national Eidgah ground has to be entered in a queue. Archway is installed at the main gate. The members of the law and order forces allowed to enter the Eidgah only after searching the worshipers who came to the Eid congregation. However, the pilgrims coming from far away expressed their satisfaction with this strict security system.

A security zone was created around the Eid congregation at Matsya Bhavan, Bangabazar, Paltan, GPO intersection. Police have barricaded to stop all types of vehicles in this ring.

Meanwhile, like every year, five congregations are being held at Baitul Mokarram in Dhaka on the day of Eid.

The first Eid congregation is held at 7 am and the second Eid congregation at 8 am. After that, the third and fourth congregations will be held at 9 am and 10 am respectively. The fifth congregation will be held at 10:45 am.
