Tired of being stuck in a war of his own, Trump is looking for a way out

US President Donald Trump is looking for a way out of the prolonged war with Iran. He is unable to bring Iran into talks despite extending the ceasefire period. Due to the war, instability in the energy market and political pressure is also increasing on the Trump administration.

US President Donald Trump is trying to get out of the war with Iran, along with Israel.

Although the war has not yet ended, he has already declared himself victorious many times. A few days ago, when Iran briefly opened the Strait of Hormuz, Trump declared victory for the United States.

US-based media The Atlantic wrote that Trump is extending the duration of the ongoing ceasefire. Sometimes he threatened to launch a new attack, but in reality it did not work.

This week also, Trump suspended the US operation 'Project Freedom' in the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump is 'frustrated' with the war, as it has turned out to be far more complicated than he thought.

Trump's party leaders see the impact of the war as oil prices rise and Republican support in opinion polls declines.

As a result, Trump does not want to dwell on the Middle East war for too long. He does not want the Iran war to spoil his visit to China this week.

On the other hand, Iran's behavior seems to be in no hurry to end the war. They will not at least accept any demands imposed by the US mediators. As a result, Trump is in a difficult situation.

Five of the president's aides and several advisers told The Atlantic that Trump believes any deal he can present as a victory.

But the reality is that Trump, the author of the book 'The Art of the Deal', cannot even bring Iran to the negotiating table.

Washington is now awaiting Tehran's response to the one-page memorandum of understanding recently sent to Iran by the Trump administration.

All in all, a difficult question has appeared in front of Trump. That is — if the opponent does not move even a hair, then how will he end the war?

And while Trump is looking for a way out of the war, Tehran's rulers are using the war to consolidate their power.

Iran is now looking to do what it has done before — impeach a US president.

Analysts say that such a situation will arise with Iran war, Trump never thought.

After bringing Nicolas Maduro out of Venezuela, the US president turned his attention to Iran.

“Iran will be another Venezuela,” the US president told close associates, the Atlantic reported, citing two Trump advisers.

Trump believed that Tehran could not stand up to US military power. Among them was the confidence to overthrow the clerical regime in Tehran, a goal that none of his predecessors could achieve.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched an attack on Iran. About 3,500 people have died so far. Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is also among the dead.

Meanwhile, Iran has targeted US military installations in various countries of the Middle East, including Israel, in counter-attacks.

They have attacked about a dozen countries, including Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

In addition to the loss of life and infrastructure damage in this war, the air transport system of the Middle East has come to a standstill; The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has created instability in the global market for energy products.

After 40 days of war, the two countries agreed to a two-week ceasefire on April 8. Three days later, Tehran and Washington held direct talks for the first time in 47 years.

The talks started on the evening of April 11 at a five-star hotel in Islamabad, mediated by Pakistan. The diplomatic effort, built through a series of meetings the next morning, ended without a resolution.

Meanwhile, Trump announced an indefinite extension of the ceasefire a few hours before the end of two weeks on Tuesday.

But within the cease-fire, the two sides continue to blockade and complain around the Strait of Hormuz.

Many experts believe that Iran will be able to withstand the blockade imposed by Trump in Hormuz, not for a few weeks, but for a few months.

A US intelligence assessment presented to policymakers last week also said Iran could survive for at least three to four months.

If that is the case and Iran keeps the Strait of Hormuz closed, oil prices will rise further in the Western world, especially ahead of midterm elections in the United States. Then the fight will be with the endurance of both sides. But patience or tolerance is not Trump's strength.

According to one of his advisers, Trump told him he was 'disgusted' with the war.
