'Russia wants skilled manpower in shipbuilding industry'

Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, State Minister of Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment, said that Russia wants to take Bangladesh's skilled manpower in the shipbuilding industry.

On Sunday (March 24) in the office room of the State Minister for Expatriate Welfare, he informed the reporters after the meeting with the delegation of Russia's Levadia Shipyard.

Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, referring to Bangladesh's long-standing relationship with Russia, said that the relationship between the two countries will be strengthened by sending manpower to Russia. Russia wants to hire skilled manpower in various fields including ship industry, agriculture. Workers want to take 60 people in the first phase. Then gradually they will hire more skilled workers. The company will support the workers in terms of accommodation and language learning.
