165 million dollars remittance came in 24 days


In the first 24 days of this February, expatriates sent foreign currency or remittances equivalent to 165 million US dollars.

They sent an average of 68.5 million dollars daily.

Last January, remittances to the country reached 210 million US dollars.

This information is known from the updated report of Bangladesh Bank on Sunday.

According to the data of the central bank, in the first 24 days of this month, 175.55 million dollars were received through state-owned banks, 63.3 million dollars through a specialized bank, 1.444 million dollars through private banks and 3.5 million dollars through foreign banks.

In December 2023, expatriates sent remittances worth 199 million dollars.
