Muslims in many countries of the world, including the Middle East, are going to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday after fasting for a month.
The Shawwal moon was not sighted in the UAE on Monday. As a result, the month of Ramadan has completed 30 days in the country on Tuesday. Accordingly, Eid will be celebrated in the Emirates on Wednesday.
Saudi Arabia also confirmed the start of Eid festival on the same day.
Qatar's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs said Wednesday will be the first day of Shawwal. Accordingly, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on that day.
The chairman of the Kuwait Sharia Authority said on Monday that Tuesday will be the last day of Ramadan and Wednesday will be Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Shariah authorities of Bahrain and Oman said that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in both countries on Wednesday due to the sighting of the Shawwal moon on Tuesday.
Besides, Egypt, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Palestine also marked Tuesday as the last day of Ramadan. These countries will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday.
