Israel has threatened to attack Iran directly. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz made the threat on Wednesday.
He said that if Iran starts an attack, Israel's forces will attack the Islamic Republic directly.
Last week there was an attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria. 12 people including Iranian general were killed in that explosion. Tehran blamed Israel for the incident. However, Israel has not yet acknowledged the matter. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reiterated his vow to retaliate against Israel for the attack early Wednesday.
Israel Katz said in a post on X in both Persian and Hebrew, 'If Iran attacks from its territory, Israel will respond and attack Iran.'
