The fire in the Jhautla tinshed slum of Hazaribagh in the capital has been brought under control. The fire was brought under control around 12:30 pm with the efforts of 7 units of fire service.
Earlier on Friday (April 12) at around 11:50 a.m., a fire broke out in a tin shed slum in Hazaribagh area of the capital.
At that time, Rozina Akhter, the duty officer of the fire service, said that at 11:50 pm, there was a fire in the Jhowtala slum adjacent to the Hazaribagh embankment. He also said that a total of 7 units, including 2 from Hazaribagh fire station, 2 from Lalbagh, 2 from Mohammadpur and 1 from Siddikbazar fire station went to the spot and started working to control the fire.
The fire service said that the fire was brought under control around 12:30 pm. However, until writing this report, the fire service and civil defense could not give any information about the cause of the fire and casualties.
