A case has been registered at Shahbagh police station in connection with the beating of Al Sadi Bhuiyan, President of Dhaka University ists Association, at Islamia Market in Bangabazar of the capital on September 3. Shahbag Police Station Deputy Inspector (SI) Saimum Islam confirmed the matter to today's newspaper. BNP leader and member secretary of ward number 20 Rafiqul Islam Swapan, joint convener Masud Yusuf and businessman Abul Hossain have been accused in the beating incident.
