A day-long literary conference was held in Satkhira


Literary conferences, workshops, receptions and publication festivals have been held in Satkhira. This program was organized in the district art academy auditorium on Saturday (April 27) morning organized by the District Literary Parishad.

On this day at 10 am, the ceremony was inaugurated by hoisting the national flag and flying balloons-festoons. SDF Chairperson Kabi Abdus Samad Farooq was present as the chief guest.

District Literary Council president Kavi Shahidur Rahman presided over the event and fiction writer Hossain Uddin Hossain, educationist Professor Abdul Mannan, essayist Gazi Azizur Rahman, Additional District Magistrate Bishnupad Pal and children's writer Imrul Yusuf were present in the event.

On the occasion poet Muhammad Nurul Huda and poet Paltu Basar were given a memento by Sahitya Parishad and on the occasion of the conference the cover of literary paper named 'Bhor' was unveiled.

The general secretary of the organization M Zaman presented a report on the overall activities of the organization in the conference. More than four hundred poets from different upazilas of the district participated in the literary conference.

In the second part of the program after noon, the day-long literary conference ended with poetry readings composed by the writers participating in the conference, discussions on the poems read, songs, recitations and distribution of certificates to the writers.
