A delegation of job aspirants is going to the secretariat

The job seekers said that a delegation of 5 members will go to the secretariat shortly to demand that the minimum age for entry into government service be 35 years. They also warned that they will not leave Shahbagh until their demands are met.

The agitators announced this at around 1:30 pm on Sunday (September 8). Before that, they took a position on the footpath in front of the Bangladesh National Museum from 11:30 am.

At that time, the agitators said that in the anti-dictatorship movement of July, we also carried out the movement by playing the role of coordinator with the anti-discrimination movement. After the fall of the dictatorship, the coordinators of the anti-discrimination movement formed the government. Yesterday, we closed the road for 8 hours and held a sit-in program to get our demands. But no one came to meet us on their behalf. So shall we assume that like others, you have forgotten everything about the past when you came to power. I did not see you in our movement. No one came from your side to even say two words of comfort.

The agitators also said that we will go to the ministry with a delegation of five members in a short time to demand our demands. We will not leave Shahbagh until our demands are met. Minimum age limit for applying for the job is 35 years as per international standards. Which has been implemented in at least one and a half hundred countries. We want it to be implemented in our country as well.

The rally started in front of the National Museum at Shahbag yesterday at 11:00 am. Around 2 pm, the protesters started protesting by blocking the road at Shahbag intersection. They warned that they will not leave Shahbagh if their demands are not met. Although the protestors were at Shahbag intersection till 6:30 pm on Saturday.

At that time, the traffic stopped at Shahbagh junction due to blocking the road. This caused massive traffic jams on all the surrounding roads. People who go out on the streets for various purposes suffer.
