A doctor's son does not support his old parents

A victim's mother has complained to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer against her doctor son for not providing maintenance after writing down the last property in Gurdaspur of Natore.

On Monday (May 7) morning, resident medical officer of Gurdaspur Upazila Health Complex. His mother Monira Begum filed a complaint against Sujauddaula in the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) office.

According to the complaint, Monira Begum is the wife of Khairul Islam of Anand Nagar Mohalla of Upazila Municipal Sadar. The couple sold all the land for their son Sujauddaula to study medicine. Father Khairul runs the family by driving an autovan even when he is ill. The son is now a doctor. However, the doctor's son, Sujauddaula, wrote the last sambal vita tuku from his parents. Not only that, if they ask for maintenance expenses, they abuse in unspeakable language and even physically and mentally torture them. And there is a threat to kick the babe out of the house. Mother Monira Begum has filed a complaint in the Upazila Nirbahi Officer's office demanding the return of the house she was forced to live in and maintenance.

Father Md. Khairul Islam said, even in a sick body, I am making a living by driving a van. Medicines have to be bought every day. The boy for whom I have done so much is not paying maintenance.

If you want to know about this, Dr. Md. Sujauddaula said, 'Father voluntarily wrote down the land. Also it is not true that he got his education by selling land and working hard. In addition, even if I want to support my parents, they don't want to live with me. In fact, they have lost the ability to be parents.'

Upazila Health Complex Family Planning Officer Dr. Mujahidul Islam said, 'It is a family matter. I hope it will be resolved soon.'

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Salma Akhter confirmed the receipt of the complaint and said that the family planning officer of the Upazila Health Complex has been talked about. Necessary steps will be taken after discussing with all concerned.
