There is a possibility that the storm will blow at a speed of 60 to 80 km over the four divisions of the country by 9 am on Sunday. This information was given in the warning issued for the inland river ports on Saturday night.
It is said that temporary stormy winds with a speed of 60 to 80 km per hour may blow over Bogra, Pabna, Tangail, Mymensingh, Gazipur, Sylhet, Brahmanbaria and surrounding areas from the west and north-west. As a result, the river ports of these areas have been asked to display naval warning signal number 2.
Meanwhile, in another message, the Meteorological Department said that between Saturday (May 4) evening and Sunday (May 5) evening, hailstorm with thunder may occur in seven parts of the country including Dhaka.
At some places of Sylhet division and a few places of Dhaka, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Barisal and Chittagong divisions, there may be temporary gusty winds, rain with wind or thunder. Apart from this, hailstones may rain sporadically at some places.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be temporary gusty or gusty winds or rain with thunder in some places of Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and two places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions till the same time on Monday.
Along with this, there may be scattered hailstorms at some places during this time. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country.
Apart from this, the trend of rainfall with rain or thundershowers may continue over the country during the extended 5 days and the day temperature may drop further.
