A school student died after being hit by an easy bike

A child named Anika Akhter (7) died after being hit by a battery-operated auto-rickshaw on her way to school in Matlabe of Chandpur district. The accident took place on Matlab-Chengarchar road in Uttar Ludhwa village of Matlab North Upazila on Sunday (June 2).
Anika is the daughter of Mohammad Ali Bepari of North Ludhua village of Upazila. He was a first class student of the local Ludhwa Government Primary School.
Locals said Anika left home to go to school. He was crossing the Matlab-Chengarchar road in front of Baitul Aqsa Jame Masjid in the village.
At that time, the battery-powered autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction hit him and sped away. Anika was injured. Local people and relatives rescued him from there and took him to Matlab Dakshin Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty there declared him dead.
Confirming the matter, Matlab North Police Inspector (Investigation) Sanwar Hossain said that no complaint has been received from the child's family so far. Complaints will be investigated and action will be taken.
