Faridpur Nagarkanda was cut by the train. A young man named Mithu (35) was killed. The accident happened on Friday (April 19) around 7:30 am in Puradia area of Dangi Union of the upazila. The deceased was a resident of Jatrabari area of Sadarpur upazila of Mithu district.
According to the police, the young man was killed on the spot after being hit by a train bound for Faridpur from Kashiani in Gopalganj. He was said to be mentally unstable.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nagarkanda Police Station. Aminur Rahman said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving the information. The body was recovered and handed over to the railway police. They will take further legal action in this regard.
