Comilla was hit by an unknown car. A young man named Yashin (26) has died. The accident took place on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway on Thursday (May 9) afternoon.
The deceased Yachin is the younger son of Amin Mia of Kul Harbatli village of Rajshpur Paglir in Chithlia Union of Parshuram Upazila of Feni.
According to police and family sources, Yashin used to live in Comilla Cantonment area. On Thursday, while riding a motorcycle on the road, he was hit by an unknown vehicle and fell on the road. Later, the police rescued him from the spot and took him to the hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Tamjid Hossain Rohan, the relative of the deceased, said that after the accident Yashin was lying on the road but the people around were busy taking pictures and videos. A man did not come forward to rush him to the hospital. He died due to excessive bleeding due to delay in taking him to the hospital.
Chairman of Chithlia Union Pear Ahmed said, Yashin was the youngest among four brothers. No one can accept his sudden death. A shadow of mourning has descended on the entire area.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Mainamati Highway Police Station Iqbal Bahar said that a motorcyclist died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle. The body was handed over without post-mortem on the plea of the deceased's family.
