Admission of 24 universities under the cluster has been suspended, investigation into the irregularities has been ordered

The preliminary admission process for the fourth phase of Bachelor (Honours) first year for the academic year 2023-24 of the 24 clustered General and Science and Technology Universities has been postponed. It has not been said when the suspended exam will start.

This information was informed in a notice on the website of cluster admission on Thursday (September 5) morning.

Earlier on Wednesday (September 4), the Ministry of Education directed the University Grants Commission (UGC) to investigate allegations of irregularities in batch admissions. The supervisory agency has also started working on this. After that, the batch admission committee decided to suspend the admission process of the fourth phase.

According to the notification of the batch admission committee, the preliminary admission process of the fourth stage has been suspended for the time being on the advice of the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The last migration process of the cluster closed on Tuesday (September 3). In the earlier notification, it was said that any kind of migration stop must be completed by 11:59 PM on September 3.

After the 3rd, the preliminary admission for the fourth phase will start. However, in the new notification, the fourth phase admission process has been postponed. All other information including admission process is available on the website.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has directed the University Grants Commission (UGC) to form a committee to investigate irregularities in the admission process of cluster universities. The committee has been asked to submit its report within 15 working days. This information is known from a circular signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education Rokhchana Begum on Wednesday.
