Akram, Maruf and Hasan were elected as chairman in Khulna

Sheikh Akram Hossain and Sheikh Maruful Islam in Dighlia upazila were re-elected as chairman in Fultala upazila of Khulna and Abul Hasan Sheikh was elected as chairman in Terkhada upazila.

Sheikh Akram got 21 thousand 828 votes in Fultala. His closest rival. Sabbir Hossain got 16 thousand 84 votes. Terkhada Abul Hasan won by getting 28 thousand 179 votes. His closest rival. Sarfuddin Biswas Bachchu got 22 thousand 738 votes. On the other hand, the current chairman Sheikh Maruful Islam was elected in Dighlia upazila.

Returning Officer ATM Shamim Mahbub confirmed the results of the private.

Earlier, in the second phase, heat-free voting was held in Phultala, Dighlia and Terkhada upazilas of Khulna on Tuesday. Polling was held uninterruptedly from 8 am to 4 pm, but no untoward incident was reported anywhere. Although the voter turnout was low in the centres, the number of female voters was more than male. No long line of voters was seen in any center.
