Allegation of immoral relationship with female student, teacher handed over to police station

Dinajpur Crescent Kindergarten Girls' High School English teacher Salim Hossain was beaten up by the students and handed over to the police station after he was accused of having an immoral relationship with a female student.

Around 11:30 am on Thursday, the angry students dragged them from the class room of the school and assaulted them and handed them over to Kotwali police station.

The accused teacher Salim Hossain is a resident of Konai village in Dinajpur Sadar and joined this educational institution as an English teacher through NTCR in 2016.

Talking to the protesting female students of the school, it is known that in the financial year 2020/21, he got involved in an immoral relationship with a student of the eighth grade after talking about English coaching in that educational institution. When the incident became known, the managing committee and other teachers temporarily dismissed the English teacher Salim Hossain. After being dismissed, teacher Salim Hossain approached the court. Earlier this year, the court ordered the teacher to join. After getting the court order, the headmaster Abul Kalam Azad allowed the accused teacher Salim Hussain to join the school.

Teacher Salim joined but no class was given to him in the school. But since then he used to sign the attendance sheet and leave the school. After the anti-discrimination movement on August 6, the principal and other teachers of the school were taken hostage and forced to give classes to him. Since then he has been taking classes regularly. Ever since this incident, there has been extreme anger among the students. On Thursday, the students and parents of the school got together and dragged the accused teacher Salim Hossain out of the classroom and handed him over to the nearby Kotwali police station.

Talking to the head teacher Abul Kalam Azad, it is known that the allegations against the accused teacher Salim Hossain in the fiscal year 2020/21 have been found to be true. He has since been placed on temporary leave. Then he joined the school with the court order but he was not given classes. He used to take classes forcefully, today he was kicked out of the class by angry students in the school by chanting slogans. A motorcycle used by him was burnt by the students.

Farid Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station, said that the angry students have handed over a teacher named Salim Hossain to the police station. However, no case has been filed against him so far, if the students file a case, the case will be taken.
