Allegation of rape of disabled girl in Nageshwari

An allegation of rape of a disabled girl has been made in Nageshwari of Kurigram. On August 18, the father of the raped girl filed a complaint at the Nageshwari police station. Rape victim Kishori is a 6th standard student of Govardwankuti (Sarkartari) area of ​​Newashi Union of Upazila and the accused Al Mamun (18) is the son of Bachchu Mia of Chakerkuti area.

According to the statement, Al Mamun (18) son of Bachchu Mia of Chakerkuti area of ​​Newashi union of the upazila was constantly harassing the 6th grade students of neighboring Govardwankuti area while going to school. Because of this, the girl and her father warned Al Mamun and her grandfather Afzal Hossain several times, but there was no remedy. On the contrary, the young man became angry and looked for opportunities to harm at various times. At one point on the afternoon of August 15, when the girl went to take a bath in the pond of Pashwabatri Najumuddin, taking the opportunity, Al Mamun also pretended to take a bath and got down in the pond and grabbed the girl's face and forcibly raped her. At that time, hearing the screams of the girl, the people around came forward and the rapist ran away.

The girl's father says that my daughter is physically challenged. But this disabled girl was ruined by a naughty boy. I want proper justice for this rape.

Attempts were made to contact the rapist Al Mamun and his family but could not be found.

Sarwar Parvez, OC (Investigation) of Nageshwari police station said that a case of rape has been registered in this regard. The victim has been sent to Kurigram to check whether she was raped or not. The rapist is on the run. Attempts are being made to arrest him.
