Professor Anu Muhammad of Jahangirnagar University was injured after being hit by a train at Khilgaon in the capital.
The accident happened around 11 am on Sunday (April 21). Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector Md. Masud said that he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with an injury on his left leg.

According to hospital sources, all five toes of Professor Anu Muhammad's left foot were amputated.
