Archer-Jordan announced the champion England team

England have announced their World Cup squad without Jofra Archer, who has been suffering from a long-term elbow injury. Experienced all-rounder Chris Dorjan has also been brought back into the team. Left-handed spinner Tom Hartley, who is awaiting his debut, has been included in the 15-man squad. However, Chris Woakes did not have a place in the team announced on Tuesday afternoon. His absence and Jordan's return is a surprise for the England team.

Archer last played for England in March 2023. He recovered from injury for more than a year and got a call to the national team. All-rounder Jordan also last played in September 2023.

Harry Brook, Liam Livingston and Sam Curran will show their ability in the lower order.

Adil Rashid and Tom Hartley are in the team as specialist spinners. Archer, Mark Wood and Reece Topley will be in the pace attack.
