According to the Meteorological Department, gusty winds of maximum speed of 60 km per hour may blow over Comilla, Noakhali and Chandpur regions. It is also reported that there may be rain or thunder in these areas.
This information has been given in the weather forecast for the internal river ports of the country till 1 o'clock on Sunday (June 9).
Meteorologist Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick said that during this period, there may be temporary gusty winds or thundershowers from West or North-West direction over Comilla, Noakhali and Chandpur areas. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Sunday, many places of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and a couple of places of Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder.
Along with this, there may be moderate to very heavy rainfall at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country.
