Asif Mahmud received farewell reception

A farewell reception was organized in honor of Local Government Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan in the joint initiative of Local Government, Ministry of Rural Development and Cooperatives and Ministry of Youth and Sports.

His performance, leadership, service quality improvement and 'outstanding contribution' in the implementation of various projects were remembered with respect at a reception held at the local government department hall on Thursday (December 11).

Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports presided over the event. Mahbub-ul-Alam. The secretary of the local government department was present among others. Rezaul Maqchud Zahedi along with senior officials of two ministries, heads of various departments and related officials.

Local Government Department Secretary Rezaul Maqchud Zahedi said, “Today is not a farewell, but a ceremony of gratitude.” He said, “Advisor Asif Mahmud's guidance has brought speed, transparency and people-friendliness to the local government system. Under his astute leadership, local level service expansion and project implementation have progressed significantly.”

In the President's speech, the Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports said that Asif Mahmud, one of the heroes of the 2024 mass uprising, is not just an advisor – he is an exemplary personality. His charismatic leadership and photogenic memory made the workplace more dynamic.

Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam expressed hope that he will see the adviser in a bigger role in the future.

Adviser Asif Mahmud said in his speech, “The dedication, sincerity and cooperation of each officer of these two ministries has made my work easier.”

He expressed hope that joint efforts will continue in the future to ensure the development of the country.

Addressing the officials, Asif Mahmood said, “One decision of yours changes the fate of many people. Work with devotion and honesty.”
