Baghaichari siege call UPDF All Bengal

The United People's Democratic Front-UPDF has called for a blockade at Baghaichhari in Rangamati after threatening the agent of the chairman and woman vice-chairman candidates in the upcoming upazila parishad elections.

The organization called for morning-evening blockade on Saturday (June 8) to demand fair elections.

On Friday (June 7) night, a press release signed by Sachal Chakma, chief organizer of the Rangamati unit, was sent to the media on behalf of the organization.

According to the circular, UPDF led by Prasit Vikas Khisa will hold a blockade on Saturday morning and evening in Baghaichhari upazila to demand a fair and peaceful election, threatening the election agents of rival women chairman candidate Olive Chakma and woman vice chairman candidate Sumita Chakma, arresting armed terrorists stationed in Baghaihat area of ​​the upazila and demanding fair and peaceful elections. .

Angya Marma, chief organizer of the organization's central committee, confirmed the blockade.

He said, 'to ensure fair elections, this blockade was called to protest against the threats to the agent of the chairman and the woman vice chairman candidate by the opposition party.'

Upazila Parishad elections will be held at Baghaichhari in Rangamati on Sunday (June 9). Earlier due to Cyclone 'Remal' Election Commission postponed the election of this upazila on May 29.
