The multi-national aircraft exercise started last Friday in the skies of Rajasthan, India. It will continue till September 14. 18 countries of the world including Bangladesh are supposed to participate in this exercise called Tarang Shakti. C-130 aircraft to be sent from Bangladesh. But the Bangladesh government will not send this aircraft, according to a report by the Indian media India Today and The Print.
According to the media The Print, the second phase of this exercise called Tarang Shakti is going on. Now Sri Lanka will participate instead of Bangladesh. The B-200 Super King Air will deploy maritime surveillance aircraft. However, Bangladesh will not send C-130 aircraft but will send three senior military officers as representatives or observers.
According to a source in Bangladesh's Defense Department, The Print said, Bangladesh did not boycott the second phase of the Tarang Shakti exercise.
Earlier, the first phase of Tarang Shakti exercise was held in Sulur from August 6 to 14. However, so many countries were not supposed to participate in it. In the second phase, fighter jets from Australia, America, Greece, Singapore and United Arab Emirates will participate in it. During the exercise, India will display modern aircraft including Asia Tejas, ACU-30, MKI and Rafale.
However, it does not include Bangladeshi aircraft.
