Bangladeshi youth injured in BSF firing at Burichong border


A Bangladeshi youth named Billal Hossain (28) was shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Comilla's Burichong border. Locals said that the incident took place on Monday (April 22) around 8:00 pm at Chadanal Tentultala border of Rajapur Union of Burichong Upazila. The injured Billal Hossain is the son of Ali Ahmad of Laribag area of ​​Rajapur Union.

Locals said that the injured Billal Hossain worked as a laborer transporting sugar and other goods illegally brought from India. At around 8 pm on Monday, BSF personnel opened fire while unloading illegal sugar through the Tentultala border. Billal was injured by their bullets. There were 30 bullets in his body. Later he was rescued and taken to the emergency department of Comilla Medical College Hospital and the doctor on duty sent him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Currently, Billal is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Meanwhile, on Monday (April 22), a Bangladeshi youth named Hasan Mia (25) was killed in firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Putia border in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria. The deceased Hasan is the son of Jaru Mia of Kayumpur Union of Kasba Upazila.

Relatives of the deceased said that Hasan went to the zero point area of ​​the Putia border with his friends in the morning. On seeing them, BSF opened fire and Hasan died on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kasba Police Station Raju Ahmed said that the body of the deceased has been recovered. The body is now kept at Kasba Upazila Health Complex.
